Microsoft Outlook
CityLaw and CountyLaw now support synchronization between the master calendar and Outlook / Exchange!
You can use all the features of Outlook and keep your system’s master calendar up to date without having to enter data in both places.
Integration between the system calendar and Outlook is accomplished through two layers: server and client. The server layer deals with synchronization from the system to Outlook, via Exchange. Schedule an appointment or task in the system, assign the staff members, and the appointment or task appears automatically in their Outlook calendar or task list.
When in Outlook, create a new appointment or task and a new tab appears, labeled “CityLaw” or “CountyLaw”. On that tab you can associate the appointment with the appropriate matter. The appointment or task is inserted into the system’s calendar.
Synchronization in both directions also supports edits to existing calendar entries, not just for new items. (Appointments and tasks deleted in Outlook do not get deleted from the system’s master calendar – for security reasons.)
